Orchid propagation by division can be done in three parts.

Container preparation: A pot with a well-aerated base should be picked. It is better if it be see-through to allow better root visibility as the orchid grows.

Bulb preparation: Disengage the original orchid from its housing and throw away any excess planting matter. Be gentle as the root structure is delicate and can rupture.
